Connor studied Nikola Tesla for his leadership project. He decided to make a pop-up book to share his learning.

Cole studied the forensic scientist Bill Bass for his leadership project. He came up with the wonderful idea of putting the things he learned about Bill on a skeleton.

We have been working on the unit "Journeys and Destinations" which focuses on the big idea of change. The students wrote Diamante poetry about change and did a good job. This group took it to a whole different level. They made a collection of their poems, illustrated them and bound them into a book. They also took some new decorative scissors and made some interesting boarders.

Leadership Projects

The fifth graders are working on their final project for our Leadership unit. Alex finished his brochure on Jason Fried. He picked Jason because, he helped solve world problems. Alex is most proud of the information he gathered on Jason's accomplishments. Alex learned that he likes creative leaders like Jason who look for ideas that work.
